Manifestation Fundamentals: The Unique Advantage of Weakness

The following article is part of a series on Manifestation. For the first part, please see Manifestation Fundamentals: Accept That Life is Unfair. In this article we continue to discuss "The First Fundamental of Manifestation":
To work with The Law of Attraction properly, you must transform yourself into a person who has this ability. Change is not optional.
Here we'll tackle the concept from a different perspective.

One thing many of us spend a lot of time on is the careful control of our energies. Positivity, compassion, patience, happiness, and all of the things we call "high frequencies" start as quarries we pursue, then hard-won prizes, and then simply become habits.

In theory this not only makes us happier and healthier, this also opens us to the higher wisdom of the universe. Of course, of particular importance to this series of articles is also the application of the Law of Attraction: if you stay positive, then positive things will come to you.

The difficulty is that the world, and our experience of it, spans the frequency spectrum from one end to the other. As positive as you think you are, you are not completely free of negativity. That's an experience reserved for the next world.

So here's what happens: we have our high-frequency addict. They resonate with joy, bliss out in meditation, and overall present a shiny happy face to the world at all times. And then they get sick, have arguments with friends, business moves don't go as planned, and they're left wondering: how is this possible? I've been entirely focused on positivity, so this shouldn't be happening. I did not ask for this. What's going on?

The answer is fairly simple: being positive makes it safe to heal. As you heal, your old hurts come to the surface so that they can be treated. This can be stuff you've been able to successfully ignore for a lifetime, but suddenly it is just demanding attention in order to be purged because let's face it: you're ready. It's time. You're in the right frame of mind.

Unfortunately for our shiny high frequency addict, they won't pay any attention to the old wound because it is considered a "negative thought". They're enlightened after all, and such low frequency thinking is beneath them. Besides, they don't want to attract more of the same!

So they do what all addicts do: they deny that there's a problem.

You can guess what happens then. The body manifests some kind of disease. A good mood is easily destroyed by the most innocent thing. Bad luck comes out of nowhere. And it all comes from one single source: that old hurt, begging for attention.

Meanwhile our positivity-addict is still in denial, saying: "I'm a fundamentally positive person who never talks about the things that are bothering them, because nothing bothers me! I'm a free spirit!" So they stumble around, baffled at how any of this is possible. What could be going on? Is somebody out to get them?

Luckily for them, we are an inherently inconsistent species. Sooner or later we have a day where we're very tired, or very sick, or just plain depressed. Whatever it is, the effect is simple: we are forced to slow down and really look at this hurt we're carrying around.

In the last article I talked about goal setting and getting focused on accomplishing something. This is the counter-balance. Weakness, when it comes, is the ultimate gift for those of us who stay so focused for so long that we forget to stop and take a look around every once in awhile. It is our opportunity to accept that we're not getting anywhere right now, and so maybe we should take a realistic look at these things that still wound us way deep down inside.

Remember: pilots who notice a burning engine come in for a landing, regardless of the flight schedule.

So then, you've had your weak moment. You've been brought low. Now what?

When I had originally written this article I had detailed a specific technique, but now that I've had some time to think it over, everything boils down to this: seek healing.

If something angers you, frustrates you, makes you sad or makes you distracted, acknowledge it and then seek healing. Don't be so narrowly focused on positivity that you pretend there is no negativity in you. It will continue to exist, regardless of your fantasy about who you are. Rather, know that this space inside of yourself could use a little house cleaning, and then get out there and find someone who can help you with it.

The unique advantage of having weakness visit your life is that it forces you to pay a little attention to the part of you that you've been actively denying. Now you can do something about it.

Once you've healed, you will be shocked at how ridiculously easy the manifestation process becomes. You are now one who manifests with intention, rather than with suppression.
